Spotted at CoHo were some small creatures of the stinging variety who found a cozy spot to build a nest. Yes, that’s a paper wasp nest inside a boot! Beware of the boot!Next time you leave your boots or shoes outside, be sure to check them before putting them on. 😉

Here at CoHo we get excited when we see pollinators. And today a Monarch butterfly was spotted on a milkweed.Why is this so exciting? Monarchs are the rock stars of the insect world. And butterflies are important pollinators. These guys will always be welcome here at CoHo!

These shrews were hard to take pictures of, but we got one up close and not afraid of people. Always nice to sees signs of life at CoHo even during the winter months.
This big guy was caught trotting around CoHo today, apparently looking for some things to feast on before Thanksgiving.Have a great Thanksgiving!
