New trees at Coho!

Our new Pacific Sunset Maple being planted during a work party. The masked diggers: Jason, Bruce, with Peter directing. Austin taking a break. We can’t work closely together during social distancing.

Trees! They provide oxygen, keep us cool in the summer, provide nesting places for our winged friends, and shade to play in. We finally got around to planting some trees for the path, and discovered that all of our underground utilities and coho plumbing make it difficult to find a good spot for trees. The spots around Coho with trees and shrubs harbor a completely different, and more interesting, bird culture than the sunny path. We are hoping to find ways to provide more shade for our path in the future.

Ariel celebrates the new maple! She’s smiling with her body.
