Joan
Although she was born and raised in Pasadena California, Joan knows what it's like to live through some cold winters. She spent two years as an art student studying oil painting in St Louis Missouri, and then continued her education in Southern California. After her marriage (she met her former husband on a blind date when they were both students at USC), the couple spent some years living in Japan, where winters can be colder even than in Missouri!
Joan has two children and four grandchildren. She is now divorced. She is now retired, but spent many years as an elementary school teacher.
Joan is an avid reader, with varied subject interests including a subscription to Science News. Her passions are her family, and chocolate (not necessarily in that order).
After her recent move to Corvallis, she is enjoying settling in to her new home and getting to know her future CoHo neighbors. Joan is glad to be closer to her son Dave and grandchildren Theresa, Andrew, and Patrick. She is looking forward to living in CoHo as a member of one of our community's multigenerational families.
