Andy & Stacey, Caleb & Tucker
Stacey
I grew up in Portland, OR on a dead-end street where kids ruled the road. We rode bikes in the street, played cops and robbers over each other's fences and held Fourth of July festivals in the neighbor's yard. I was one of the oldest when I was 12-18 years old and did a lot of the babysitting around the neighborhood because I love kids! I went to college in Southern California where I met Andy and got my degreein Chemistry. After college we moved to the bay area to live in a
community house with college friends. I taught high school science in an "inner-city" high school in San Jose for two years before I decided to go back to school in pharmacy despite my parents being pharmacists. Andy and I got married in the summer of 2003 and I attended Oregon State pharmacy school from 2004-2008. My son Caleb was born in 2005 and Tucker in 2008. I now work part time for Good Samaritan as a pharmacist in Corvallis. I like to garden, play games, do craft projects and take walks in the cool hours of the day.
Andy
I grew up in rural northwest Washington, and lived in the same house until I left for college, surrounded by extended family and neighbors who knew each other well. Although I took all this for granted, I was dismayed after I graduated from my small residential college to realize that most people didn't know their neighbors, and I had become one of those people. Partly to address this lack, Stacey and I moved into a group house with several of our college friends for two years before we moved back to Oregon. I'm taking a year of leave from my high school teaching job to finish up my master's degree in statistics, and spend more time with my boys. I enjoy games of all kinds (Caleb has started playing with us), and can tell Tucker shares our enthusiasm by his excellent choices of games for dumping on the floor.
Caleb
Caleb is 5 years old. He has recently learned to ride a bike (no training wheels!), sometimes pulling his brother in a trailer. Caleb loves stories, playing outside, and playing games. He starts Kindergarten in the fall.
Tucker
Tucker is nearly 2 years old. He has a sunny disposition and is rapidly developing his vocabulary. He loves to spend time with his family, play outside, and go swimming.
